Changpi Lake Scenic Area Introduction

The Changpi Lake Scenic Area, located in Sanxing Township, was formerly known as Jioucyung Lake. It is approximately 200 meters above sea level and was an important military horse riding ground during the Japanese occupation period. Traveling along Provincial Highway 7B, it is a must-pass route to attractions such as the Qingshui Geothermal Park, Qilan, Mingchi, and Taiping Mountain. Many visitors are often captivated by the emerald scenery of Changpi Lake, making it a popular stopover. After planning, the scenic area features recreational zones, accommodation areas, barbecue pits, swimming zones, and a lakeside walking trail, especially favored by families who come to vacation and let their children play freely in the picturesque setting surrounded by mountains. Changpi Lake never dries up throughout the year, with water levels automatically adjusting. The shimmering lake surface is home to a few swans and mallards leisurely gliding, adding to the vitality of the scene. Walking along the lakeside trail and gazing at the overlapping mountain ranges reflected on the lake, one can't help but slow down, take a deep breath of nature's phytoncide, and fully appreciate this serene landscape.
