Changpi Lake Scenic Area Introduction
Located in the Sanxing Township, the Changpi Lake Scenic Area, formerly known as Jioucyong Lake, is about 200 meters above sea level and was a strategic military horse ground during the Japanese occupation. Walking along Provincial Highway 7B, it is a must-pass route to attractions such as Qing Shui Geothermal Park, Qilan, Mingchi, and Taipingshan. Many tourists are often captivated by the green scenery of Changpi Lake and stop to enjoy it, making it a popular rest stop. After planning, the Changpi Lake Scenic Area features a lake activity zone, vacation accommodation area, campfire barbecue area, swimming area, and a lakeside walking trail, particularly favored by families who come here for relaxation, allowing children to play freely in the scenic area surrounded by mountains. Changpi Lake never runs dry, with water levels automatically adjusting; the shimmering lake surface is home to several swans and mallards gliding gracefully, adding vitality to the scene. Walking on the lakeside trail, watching the mountain layers reflected on the lake's surface, one cannot help but slow down, taking a deep breath of nature’s phytoncides, and savoring the tranquility of this beautiful landscape.
