Changpi Lake Scenic Area Introduction
Located in the Sanxing Township, the Changpi Lake Scenic Area, formerly known as Jioucyung Lake, sits at an elevation of approximately 200 meters and was a key military horse ground during the Japanese colonial period. Traveling along Provincial Highway 7, it is a must-pass route to attractions such as Qing Shui Geothermal Park, Qilan, Mingchi, and Taiping Mountain. Many visitors are often captivated by the verdant scenery of Changpi Lake, making it a popular stopover. After careful planning, the Changpi Lake Scenic Area now features activity zones, resort accommodations, campfire BBQ areas, a swimming area, and a lakeside walking trail, particularly favored by families for vacations, allowing children to play freely in the picturesque surroundings of the mountains. Changpi Lake never dries up, with water levels automatically adjusting, presenting a shimmering lake surface where swans and mallards can be seen leisurely swimming, adding vibrancy to the scene.
