Changpi Lake Scenic Area Introduction
The Changpi Lake Scenic Area, located in Sanxing Township, was formerly known as Jiouqiung Lake. Situated at an elevation of approximately 200 meters, it served as a military horse breeding ground during the Japanese colonial period. Traveling along Provincial Highway 7B, it is a necessary route to attractions such as Qing Shui Geothermal Park, Qilan, Mingchi, and Taimali Mountain. Many visitors are often captivated by the emerald landscapes of Changpi Lake, leading to its popularity as a mid-way stop. After careful planning, the Changpi Lake Scenic Area features a water activity zone, resort accommodation area, campfire barbecue, swimming area, and a lakeside walking trail, making it particularly favored by families looking to vacation and letting their children play freely in a picturesque setting surrounded by mountains. Changpi Lake never dries up, as the water level automatically adjusts, with the surface shimmering in the light, while a few swans and mallards float gracefully on the water, adding to the liveliness.
