Plum Blossom Lake Introduction
Meihua Lake Scenic Area is located in the central part of Dongshan Township, approximately 17 minutes by car from Luodong Railway Station. Nearby famous attractions include Zhongshan Tea Garden, Zhongshan Waterfall, Renshan Botanical Garden, and the Taiwan Taoist Temple, Three Enlightenments Palace. Meihua Lake is a natural reservoir surrounded by mountains on three sides, also known as Dapi or Mirror Lake. The shape of the lake resembles a five-petal plum blossom, hence the name Meihua Lake. Meihua Lake not only boasts rich lake ecology but also serves as an irrigation source and water resource conservation, making it a natural reservoir. The area of Meihua Lake is vast, and there is a lakeside cycling path approximately 2.2 kilometers long, suitable for visitors to bike and enjoy the scenic lake views. Due to the diverse natural ecological environment of Meihua Lake, many animals and plants thrive here, such as Formosan macaques, herons, and squirrels. The surrounding area is filled with food stalls and bicycle rental shops, making Meihua Lake a popular destination for family outings.
