Anong River Cycling Path Introduction
The Anong River Bicycle Path is located in Sanxing Township, Yilan County, running along the northern embankment of the Anong River. The starting point is at the Water Source Bridge near the upstream of the Anong River, with the endpoint at the flood control weir next to the Waizaiwai Bridge downstream, totaling approximately 15 kilometers in length. The path is largely flat with minimal inclines, making it very suitable for cycling, especially for family outings. The scenic views along the path include beautiful countryside landscapes with rice fields and silver willow fields. The southern side of the Water Source Bridge is known for producing Shangjiang pears, and visitors can also stop by attractions such as the Green Onion Cultural Museum, Zhang Park Riverside Park, and the unique Artesian Well Ecological Park. Additionally, activities like canoeing on the Anong River, the Green Onion and Garlic Festival, and the Silver Willow Festival can enhance the recreational experience. There are many other bicycle paths in Yilan County for visitors to explore, and it's advisable to plan the itinerary to enjoy the ride. However, it's important to note that the Anong River Bicycle Path does not offer bicycle rental services, so it's recommended to rent a bike beforehand to fully enjoy a fulfilling day.
