Anong River Bicycle Trail Introduction
The Anong River Bicycle Path is located in Sanxing Township, Yilan County. It is a bicycle path set along the north embankment of the Anong River. The starting point is at the Source Bridge near the upstream of the Anong River, and the endpoint is by the flood diversion weir next to the Waiwai Bridge downstream of the Anong River. The total length is about 15 kilometers, featuring flat terrain with minimal elevation changes, making it easy to ride and suitable for family outings. The scenery along the bike path is beautiful, with views of rice fields and silver willow fields, while to the south of the starting point, Source Bridge is the production area for pears. Visitors can also conveniently visit attractions such as the Green Onion Cultural Center, Zhang Park Waterfront Park, and the unique Spring Ecological Park. Additionally, activities such as river rafting on the Anong River, the Green Onion and Garlic Festival, and the Silver Willow Festival can provide a rich and fulfilling recreational experience. Yilan County has many bicycle paths for cycling, and visitors can plan their own itineraries to enjoy the breeze. However, it is important to note that there are no bicycle rental services available along the Anong River Bicycle Path, so it is recommended to rent bikes in advance before heading to the Anong River Bicycle Path to fully enjoy a day of leisure.
