Anong River Bicycle Path Introduction
The An Nong River Cycling Path is located in Sanxing Township, Yilan County, and runs along the northern embankment of the An Nong River. It starts at the Shuilian Bridge near the upstream of the An Nong River and ends at the flood diversion weir beside the Wai Zai Wai Bridge downstream, with a total length of approximately 15 kilometers. The terrain along the path is flat with very few slopes, making it very easy to ride, and it's ideal for family outings. On both sides of the cycling path, the scenery is beautiful, featuring picturesque views of rice fields and silver willow fields. The south side of the starting point, Shuilian Bridge, is known for its production of pears, and visitors can also visit attractions such as the Green Onion Cultural Museum, Zhang Park Water Park, and the unique Spring Ecological Park. Additionally, activities like rafting on the An Nong River, the Green Onion and Garlic Festival, and the Silver Willow Festival can enhance the recreational experience. There are many cycling paths in Yilan County, and visitors can arrange their own itineraries to enjoy the ride. However, it's important to note that the An Nong River Cycling Path does not offer bicycle rental services, so it's recommended to rent a bicycle beforehand to fully enjoy a fulfilling day.
