Tiansongpi Station Introduction
Tiansongpi Station was built during the Japanese colonial period and was one of ten stations on the Taipei Mountain Forest Railway. It served as a major transfer station for transporting timber into the mountains while also carrying passengers, making it convenient for local residents. However, with the decline of the forestry industry, the remaining stations along the line were dismantled after train services ceased, while Tiansongpi Station was preserved in its original location. Today, the former grandeur is no longer present, leaving behind a building filled with Japanese architectural style and simplicity, allowing visitors to relive the station's bustling past. Characterized by its light blue appearance, Tiansongpi Station has a unique tranquil atmosphere, making it a filming location for the popular Taiwanese idol drama "Next Stop, Happiness," which has attracted tourists who come to visit and take photos, making it one of the popular attractions in Sanxing Township, Yilan County. Although Tiansongpi Station is no longer flourishing and trains no longer whistle by, its contributions to the past cannot be erased. Therefore, it's worth visiting to explore the history of the old station or strolling around the nearby Changpi Lake Scenic Area and Qingshui Geothermal Park to enjoy a leisurely trip.
