Herb Hill Aroma Plants Museum Introduction
"Xiang Cao Fei Fei" is located in the Hengshan Tou Leisure Agricultural Area of Yuanshan Township, Yilan County, right next to Sun Moon Lake. The site covers an area of 3,025 ping, with an indoor space of 1,600 ping. It is established by the Sun Moon Lake Cultural and Educational Foundation to promote the unique cultural characteristics of Yilan and to engage in cultural education and creative industries. It was initiated in 2008, completed in January 2012, and officially opened to the public on March 1, 2012. The park is operated in collaboration with Xiang Fei Life Business Co., Ltd., offering exhibitions, experiences, dining, merchandise, and public services. It serves as a multi-dimensional experience space that integrates intellect, culture, education, and leisure. "Xiang Cao Fei Fei" is the first aroma-themed aromatic plant experience center in Taiwan, introducing various natural and cultural knowledge related to fragrance. Visitors can meander through the natural space of Xiang Cao Fei Fei, where every type of aromatic plant, shrub, and tree is accessible and inviting. They can also enjoy uniquely creative thematic dishes under the osmanthus tree and appreciate the natural beauty of the Lanyang Plain and Turtle Island amidst the serene landscapes of Sun Moon Lake. This building, humorously referred to by locals as the "White House of Yilan," is a pure white structure made of steel, glass, and wood. Through large glass panels, the outdoor scenery becomes part of the decor of Xiang Cao Fei Fei, with a spacious indoor area surrounded by greenery, allowing the air to be not only fresh but also occasionally infused with seasonal floral scents, perhaps from osmanthus or wild ginger flowers. Xiang Cao Fei Fei provides a platform to showcase the fragrances of each season.
