Herb Fei Fei Aromatic Plant Museum Introduction
"Herb Village" is located in the Hengshantou Leisure Agricultural Area of Yuanshan Township, Yilan County, adjacent to Sun Lake. The site covers an area of 3,025 ping (approximately 10,000 square meters), with an indoor space of 1,600 ping (approximately 5,300 square meters). Established by the Sun Lake Cultural and Educational Foundation in 2008, it aims to promote the cultural characteristics of Yilan and advance cultural education concepts through cultural and creative industries. Construction was completed in January 2012, and it officially opened to the public on March 1, 2012. The park is co-managed with Xiangfei Lifestyle Business Co., Ltd., offering experiences in exhibitions, dining, products, and public services, creating a space that integrates knowledge, culture, education, and leisure. "Herb Village" is the first aromatic plant experience museum in Taiwan themed around "scent," introducing various natural and cultural knowledge related to aroma. Wandering through the natural space of Herb Village, visitors can experience aromatic plants, shrubs, and trees that are accessible to touch and see. Guests can also enjoy unique themed meals under the osmanthus trees while basking in the beautiful scenery of Sun Lake and the rolling hills, with a distant view of the Lanyang Plain and Guishan Island. This building, humorously referred to by locals as the "White House of Yilan," is a pure white structure made of steel, glass, and wood. The large glass surfaces allow the outdoor natural scenery to become part of the decor of Herb Village. The expansive indoor space is surrounded by greenery, providing not only fresh air but also the seasonal fragrances of flowers, which may be osmanthus or wild ginger flowers, giving each season's aromas a stage to present themselves.
