Jiu Liao Creek Ecological Park Introduction

Jiuliao Creek Ecological Park is located in Lunpi Village, Datong Township. During the Japanese colonial period, due to Taiwan's abundant production of camphor, many camphor facilities were built in Yilan, numbered accordingly, and this place is known as the ninth camphor facility, hence the name Jiuliao Creek. In earlier times, this area belonged to the indigenous Atayal tribe. According to legend, Atayal hunters heard the sound of water falling on rocks, which sounded like "Ga-ba," leading to the alternative name of Jiuliao Creek being Ge-ba Creek. Due to efforts in promoting ecological conservation, Jiuliao Creek Ecological Park remains unpolluted, with abundant waterfall flows upstream and clear creek water, preserving its natural scenery.
