Qingshui Geothermal Park Introduction
Driving along Taiwan Provincial Highway 7B and passing by Changpi Lake, you will see a place ahead emitting white smoke and surrounded by heat, which is the famous Qing Shui Geothermal. Continuing further, you can reach the Qing Shui Geothermal Park. Located in the Qing Shui Creek Valley, south of Qing Shui Village, Qing Shui Geothermal Park features abundant geothermal activity and is classified as an alkaline spring. The spring water is clear and can reach a temperature of up to 95 degrees Celsius, making it a great spot for a picnic in the countryside. Originally, Qing Shui Geothermal Park was the geothermal plaza of the former CPC oil station, where Taiwan's first geothermal power plant was completed in 1981. Today, the park includes three cooking pools, two foot baths, a resting area, a shop, and other facilities. The cooking pools and foot baths utilize water from Well No. 19, providing visitors with a unique picnic experience. The food cooked in the boiling spring water surprisingly tastes great; with careful timing, you can enjoy delicious onsen eggs with a runny yolk. Afterward, relaxing in the foot bath is a delightful way to spend a leisurely and fulfilling holiday.
