Qingshui Geothermal Park Introduction

Along Provincial Highway 7B, after passing by Changpi Lake, you will see a place with white smoke and steam rising, which is the famous Qing Shui Geothermal. Continuing forward will bring you to Qing Shui Geothermal Park. Located in the Qing Shui Valley south of Qing Shui Village, Qing Shui Geothermal Park boasts rich geothermal resources and is classified as an alkaline spring. The spring water is clear and reaches temperatures of up to 95 degrees Celsius, making it a great spot for picnicking in the outdoors. Originally a geothermal plaza for the old CPC work station, the first geothermal power plant in Taiwan was completed here in 1981. Currently, Qing Shui Geothermal Park features facilities including three cooking pools, two foot baths, a resting area, and a souvenir shop. The cooking pools and foot baths use water from geothermal well No. 19, allowing visitors to enjoy a picnic. The food cooked in the boiling spring water is surprisingly tasty; with good time management, you can achieve delicious onsen eggs, savoring the runny yolk, and then relax in the foot baths—making it a wonderful enjoyment and a fulfilling holiday experience.
