Dagu Mountain Trail Introduction

From the foot of Shanjiao Elementary School on Nanshan Road in Luzhu District, turning onto the mountain industry road leads to the Dagu Mountain Leisure Agricultural Area, which produces rice, organic vegetables and fruits, horticultural flowers, and other crops. The Dagu Mountain Hiking Trail Park is the focal point of this area. If driving, you can park at the parking lot in front of Fushan Temple Square, where you will immediately be greeted by a wide-view scenery that brings an immense sense of relaxation. At night, you can enjoy the beautiful sight of countless lights from distant homes. The Dagu Mountain Hiking Trail Park is compact yet exquisite; from the entrance to the observation deck, it is less than 1 kilometer, where you can overlook the vast expanse of the sea and sky. The park's trails feature a zigzag-shaped low-barrier elevated walkway, filled with lush greenery along the way. If you visit in spring, you can admire the blooming Hsiaokungli flowers—wild lilies that carpet the mountainside. The shaded pathways have gentle slopes, and at the resting spots along the trail, you can see design elements inspired by the wild lilies, showcasing the local characteristics. Here, you can enjoy landscapes from land, sea, and air all at once while sipping coffee. Although Dagu Mountain is of low elevation, the absence of high mountain barriers surrounding it allows for excellent visibility. Standing on the observation deck, you can see the HSR and Taoyuan Metro stretching from the left along the Linkou Plateau to the right, and in the distance, you can view the Zhongli Qianpu, Yonghan Golf Course, Taoyuan Airport, offshore wind turbines, Zhuwei Fishing Port, and Changsheng Power Plant. It encompasses all landscapes of land, sea, and sky. Particularly, it is only 8 kilometers away from the Taoyuan Airport flight path, where planes taking off and landing become a major scenic feature. Additionally, every year during spring and autumn, this place is a vital stop for migratory birds, beloved by birdwatchers and photography enthusiasts alike. During the day, Dagu Mountain offers stunning views, and at dusk, the ever-changing clouds and sunset glow become dazzlingly beautiful. As night falls, the countless lights resemble stars in the sky, creating a night view that rivals international attractions. With these natural environmental advantages, Dagu Mountain has also developed a nighttime economy, with five or six Western and Chinese-style scenic restaurants nearby, all focusing on nighttime views, coffee, and delicious food. If you have time, consider visiting Dagu Mountain for a trip to enjoy nature and the scenery.
