Chef Lin mentioned that many people think his restaurant is called "Shanben" and is a Japanese cuisine establishment; in fact, it is named in memory of a Japanese chef who once taught him. Besides Japanese cuisine, he is proficient in a wide variety of dishes, including Hakka, Minnan, and Jiangsu-Zhejiang cuisines. He continuously innovates to meet customer expectations, whether it's stir-fried sea cucumber in sauce or steamed crayfish, sliced bluefin tuna, or stir-fried kidney with sesame oil, Chef Lin can create dishes that are flavorful and visually appealing. "It all relies on trust; many regular customers don't even order but just mention a price range and let me have free rein.
