Daxi Puding Park Introduction
Located in the Pu-Ding Redevelopment Zone, about 4 kilometers from Daxi Old Street, Daxi Pu-Ding Park is a beautiful backyard for locals. The park covers an area of 5.5 hectares, nearly the size of Beitou Park in Taipei. It features a vast forest of neatly arranged trees and a refreshing green space that is strikingly different from the lively atmosphere of the old street! The park is divided into two large sections due to the Northern Second Highway passing through. Entering from the entrance near Park Five Street, visitors are greeted by a large arched vintage stone wall that exudes the timeless quality of ancient European city walls. The vibrant Bougainvillea nearby resembles colorful hydrangeas, with butterflies occasionally fluttering about to welcome visitors into this relaxing garden. Both sides of the park have designated recreational areas, equipped with facilities such as slides and rocking horses for children, as well as fitness equipment like pull-up bars and walking machines. The equipment is quite comprehensive. Enjoying aerobic breathing under the lush greenery is far more comfortable than exercising indoors! The entire area is paved with soft mats and wooden tables and chairs are provided nearby so parents can supervise their children closely, enhancing outdoor safety. The sky bridge connecting both sides of the park offers a bird's eye view of the flowing traffic on the Northern Second Highway. At night, the twinkling car lights create a beautiful scene, with the tranquility outside the hustle and bustle being a rare source of joy. After crossing the sky bridge, the park expands even further. The tree-lined avenue is planted with blackboard trees, cypress, maple, Norfolk pine, small-leaved rambutan, and more, along with a vast grassy area, forming an endless sea of greenery that rivals beautiful landscapes found abroad! The park often features people walking, cycling, or flying kites, and families picnicking on the hillside. If lucky, one might even encounter newlyweds taking wedding photos. The layered shade of trees filters out the scorching sunlight, gently sprinkling coolness in mid-summer. Daxi Pu-Ding Park has hosted large cultural events, such as the Indigenous Peoples' Harvest Festival in Daxi District and the Taoyuan Art Tour, making it a cultural base that combines leisure and landscape within Taoyuan.
