Yakult Factory Introduction
Do you remember your childhood when the Yakult lady rode her bicycle delivering Yakult from house to house, and visiting the Yakult factory where you could drink a bottle of sweet and sour Yakult? The well-known Yakult has been operating in Taiwan for over half a century. The Yakult factory moved from Xinzhuang, New Taipei City to Zhongli, Taoyuan in 1999, and a new factory was rebuilt on site in 2013. The current Zhongli factory is a modern facility that combines green energy, environmental protection, and technology. When you walk into the reception area on the first floor, you can see a three-dimensional Yakult lady welcome figurine that expresses a warm greeting. The factory features a design with "floor-to-ceiling windows," making the entire visitor area bright and comfortable. The tour path is planned with areas showcasing the history of Yakult's development, early artifacts, product display cases, and a production process corridor. There are audio-visual guides explaining how lactic acid bacteria are cultivated and how products are made, allowing visitors to understand how Yakult is produced. You can also personally experience viewing images of live active lactic acid bacteria through a microscope in real-time.
