Dongyan Mountain Nature Education Center Introduction

In the cedar forest at the end ridge of the Xueshan Mountain Range, dialogues between "people and people," "people and the environment," and "people and society" are created through experiential learning. The Dongyan Mountain Nature Education Center is located within the Dongyan Mountain National Forest Recreation Area, which is part of the Shimen Reservoir catchment area. It is a section of the western ridge of the Xueshan Mountain Range, shaped like a person's side profile lying down, with the sunrise emerging from the eye socket position, hence its name. The forest composition includes beautifully arranged artificial forests and rich and diverse natural forests, as well as trace fossils left by crustaceans from 30 million years ago, in addition to other geological landscapes resulting from marine sediments.
