Luodong Nature Education Center Introduction

Riding the century-old railway into the culture of forestry, visiting the lush mountains and waters of Lanyang, we live together with nature in the city. Located within the Luodong Forestry Culture Park, it was an important transfer center during the heyday of the timber industry at Taiping Mountain. The architecture and industrial ruins from the Japanese colonial period are still preserved today, including timber transport trains, railway relics, and the bamboo forest station. The lumber ponds at that time have now transformed into ecological pools, with diverse habitats created by the aquatic and terrestrial environments, rich in biodiversity.

Transportation Methods：[By Car] Route Description: Take the Suhua Highway (National Highway No. 5) and exit at Luodong. Turn right onto County Road 196, proceed straight for about 5 minutes. After passing the intersection, go through the railway underpass, then turn right at the first traffic light onto Zhongzheng North Road. Continue straight for about 1 minute to reach the South Parking Lot of the Forest Culture Park (located diagonally opposite Linchang Meat Soup). This parking lot is a paid parking facility, and the fee is calculated by the hour. [Public Transportation] By National Highway Bus: Capital Bus 'Capital Star': Start and End Point: Taipei City Government Transfer Station - Luodong Transfer Station. After getting off at Luodong Station, walk to the FamilyMart convenience store, turn right and walk straight to the back of Luodong Train Station, cross the train station to the front station exit, continue straight to the intersection of Zhongzheng North Road and turn right, walk along Zhongzheng North Road for about 700 meters to arrive at Luodong Forest Culture Park. Walking time is about 20 minutes. [Public Transportation] By National Highway Bus: Kuo-Kuang Motor Transport: Start and End Point: Banqiao Transfer Station - Taipei Transfer Station - Luodong Transfer Station. After getting off at Luodong Station, walk to the FamilyMart convenience store, turn right and walk straight to the back of Luodong Train Station, cross the train station to the front station exit, continue straight to the intersection of Zhongzheng North Road and turn right, walk along Zhongzheng North Road for about 700 meters to arrive at Luodong Forest Culture Park. After getting off at 'Zhulin Station', turn onto Linchang Road and walk about 3 minutes to reach Luodong Forest Culture Park. [Public Transportation] By Train: Exit from the front station of Luodong Train Station, continue straight to the intersection of Zhongzheng North Road and turn right, walk along Zhongzheng North Road for about 700 meters to arrive at Luodong Forest Culture Park.
