Chaoyin Temple Introduction
Chaoying Temple is located in Guanxi Township, Hsinchu County, and has a history of over a hundred years. It is situated at the confluence of the Fengshan River and the Niulan River, surrounded by mountains with clear waters and beautiful scenery, making it an excellent place for practicing Buddhism. Through the efforts of successive masters, the temple has been meticulously planned and developed into its current scale. Renowned monks and masters often visit, establishing it as a significant center for Buddhist art. Due to the busy schedule of the sixth abbot, Venerable Zhendun, in Thailand, Master Wu Chan was appointed the seventh abbot on December 16, 2007, under special circumstances. After taking office, the master dedicated himself to improving the temple's layout, acquiring land, paving roads, and constructing the Bai'an Bridge to facilitate access for devotees. A recreational trail was designed along the riverbanks, connecting to the upstream water park, creating a picturesque spot that fosters tourism in Guanxi and encourages the practice of Buddhism.
