Lu-Liau-Keng Trail Introduction
The Lu Liao Pit Rest Area's Tung Blossom Trail begins from the 300-year-old Ficus microcarpa tree, passing through the Tung Blossom Tunnel → Tung Blossom Tunnel II → Firefly Viewing Area → Wetland Farm → Shiye and Shinniang Rocks → Tung Blossom Trail II → General Zou Hong's Former Residence → Tung Blossom Trail → Zhongwu Boy’s House, forming a systematic Tung Blossom viewing pathway. Among these, the Wetland Farm Trail is the most distinctive. This trail is located at the top of the Tanshuiwo area and is rich in water resources without human development, preserving a rich ecosystem. In the wetland, there are rice snails, mud eels, and wild ducks foraging in rows. There is a wide variety of bird species, and while walking through the mountains and forests, you can often hear the calls of the blue magpie and colorful birds, with the Crested Serpent Eagle soaring above, reminding you to bring binoculars during your visit to the Wetland Farm to observe the birds closely. The Wetland Farm is also the best choice for firefly viewing during summer nights with gentle breezes.
