Luoliao Keng Trail Introduction
The Lu Liao Keng Recreation Area's Tung Flower Viewing Trail starts from the 300-year-old Ficus superba tree, passing through the Tung Flower Tunnel → Tung Flower Tunnel II → Firefly Viewing Area → Wetland Farm → Shiye Shiniang → Tung Flower Trail II → General Zou Hong's Former Residence → Tung Flower Trail → Zhongwu Quarters, creating a systematic Tung flower viewing trail. Among them, the Wetland Farm Trail is the most distinctive. This trail is located at the top of the Dan Shui Wo and is abundant in water resources while remaining unaffected by human development, preserving a rich ecosystem. Within the wetland, there are apple snails, mudfish, and wild ducks queuing up for food; the variety of bird species is impressive. While walking through the forest, you can often hear the calls of the Eurasian Jay and the Rainbow Pheasant, and the Black Eagle soaring overhead reminds you to bring binoculars for bird watching when visiting the Wetland Farm. The Wetland Farm is also the best choice during the firefly season on summer nights.
