Luliao Pit Trail Introduction
The LuLiaoPit Recreation Area's Tung Tree Viewing Trail begins with the 300-year-old Ficus tree, leading through Tung Flower Tunnel → Tung Flower Tunnel II → Firefly Viewing Area → Wetland Farm → Shiye and Shiniang Stones → Tung Flower Trail II → General Zou Hong's Former Residence → Tung Flower Trail → Zhongwu Quarters, forming a systematic Tung tree viewing trail. Among them, the Wetland Farm Trail is the most distinctive, located at the top of Danshui Wo. Due to its rich water source and lack of human development, it preserves a rich ecosystem, with snails and mud eels in the wetland, as well as wild ducks foraging in lines. The variety of bird species is abundant; while walking through the mountains, one can often hear the calls of the azure-winged magpies and the colorful birds, with the Crested Serpent Eagle soaring overhead, reminding you to bring binoculars to get a closer look at the birds when visiting the Wetland Farm. The wetland farm is also the best choice during the firefly season on summer nights.
