Luliao Trail Introduction
The Luliao Pit Rest Area Cherry Blossom Trail begins with the 300-year-old Camphor tree, passing through the Tung Flower Tunnel → Tung Flower Tunnel II → Firefly Viewing Area → Wetland Farm → Shiye and Shinniang Stones → Tung Flower Trail II → General Zou Hong's Former Residence → Tung Flower Trail → Zhongwu Quarters, forming a systematic cherry blossom viewing trail. Among them, the Wetland Farm Trail is the most distinctive. This trail is located at the top of Danshuiwo and is rich in water sources, untouched by human development, preserving a rich ecosystem. Inside the wetland, you can find rice snails and mudfish, as well as wild ducks queuing for food. The variety of bird species is abundant, and while walking through the mountains and forests, you can often hear the singing of Taiwan Blue Magpies and colorful birds, with the Formosan Black Eagle soaring above, reminding you to bring binoculars for a closer look at the birds during your visit to the Wetland Farm. The Wetland Farm is also the best choice for witnessing firefly season on summer nights.
