National Museum of Prehistory Introduction
The National Museum of Prehistory in Taiwan originated from the discovery of the Beinan cultural site. The museum features world-class architectural design and a wealth of exhibits, along with pleasant outdoor spaces, including the popular Moai statues and expansive grassy landscapes. The permanent exhibits are divided into four main halls: the "Contemporary Archaeology Hall," which explores archaeological topics through immersive theater; the "Taiwan Prehistory Hall," showcasing a century's worth of archaeological discoveries that guide visitors through Taiwan's prehistoric history; the "Austronesian Hall," presenting the Pacific culture from the perspective of Austronesian peoples and connecting global cultural interactions; and the "Taiwan Natural History Hall," featuring three exhibition rooms that display Taiwan's natural history from different periods.
