Mambo Park Introduction
The Mambo Ocean Ecological Leisure Park, abbreviated as "Mambo Park," is located in Qixing Tan, Xincheng Township, Hualien County. It is adjacent to Hualien Airport and currently an important military restricted area. Due to the beautiful scenery and wide views surrounding the area, the Hualien County Government has made efforts to moderately develop this area as a leisure park that promotes local industry and culture without affecting national defense security. Mambo Park is divided into eight major areas: a battlefield cultural park in the shape of a Mambo, an ecological consultation room, a viewing platform, an outdoor teaching platform, an ecological command center, a sea-view platform, Mambo seats, and a scenic walkway, integrating military culture and serving as a new leisure location rich in ecology and intellectual depth. Upon entering the park, visitors can see several white marble Mambo fish and expansive green lawns; wooden pathways within the park lead to elevated platforms where one can enjoy views of Qixing Tan. Visiting in the late afternoon also allows guests to appreciate the sunset and night scenery, making it one of the popular spots to overlook Qixing Tan. In recent years, the park has also hosted marine whale and dolphin watching eco-tours and other activities to promote the fishing village culture of Hualien. Mambo Park is a new leisure destination rich in ecology and intellect, ideal for sightseeing, relaxing, and expanding one's horizons.
