Yuan Dong Ocean Park Introduction
Farglory Ocean Park, commonly known as Hualien Ocean Park, is located at km 10 of the Coastal Highway on Taiwan Route 11, in Shoufeng Township, Hualien County. The park covers an area of 51 hectares and includes part of the Yanchao Beach and the foothills of the Central Mountain Range, with a scenic coastal location approximately 30 minutes drive from Hualien City center. Farglory Ocean Park consists of eight major themed areas, which can be broadly divided into Ocean Village, Adventure Island, Ocean Theater, Carnival Fun Street, Pirate Bay, Braden Coast, Underwater Kingdom, and Crystal Castle. It is Taiwan's first ocean-themed amusement park, combining natural landscape parks with a five-star leisure hotel. In addition to a variety of amusement facilities, the park also features entertaining dolphin and sea lion shows, an underwater world parade, large musical performances, and mermaid shows, making it the largest amusement park in Eastern Taiwan. Unlike typical amusement parks that focus on mechanical and artificial attractions, Farglory Ocean Park in Hualien presents a recreational area that combines both fun and educational significance. The exciting Sea Lion Show showcases the playful antics of adorable sea lions, featuring a humorous host who engages in witty dialogue, intimate interactions with the sea lions, and a series of hilarious high-jumping water acts that are sure to bring laughter. Furthermore, the dolphin show highlights spectacular 360-degree flips out of the water, or an exhilarating play of Shaolin soccer, with just a playful movement enough to surprise the audience.
