Niu Mountain Rest Area Introduction
Shuilyan is located in Shoufeng Township, Hualien County, embraced by lush hills surrounding a wide river valley basin. The Shuilyan River meanders through, and down a path along the roadside, Shuilyan Wetland and Niushan Coast resemble a seaside secret paradise. In addition to wave splashing, beach activities, and leisurely fishing, the ecological resources along this coast are also quite rich. The coastal vegetation is a great spot to observe the ecological landscape of the East Coast. Hiking, strolling, bird watching, and butterfly observing are all excellent choices, while wandering on the vast coastal lawn allows one to feel the blue sky, white clouds, and sunshine, making time seem to stand still.
