Niaosong Wetland Introduction

Niaosong Wetland is located in Niaosong District, Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, covering an area of approximately 3 hectares. It is Taiwan's first educational park themed around artificial wetlands, primarily focusing on natural ecology education, complemented by tourism and recreation. The wetland is home to 89 species of birds, over 270 species of insects, and more than 300 species of plants, boasting rich and diverse ecological resources. The area is also adjacent to the vast Chengqing Lake and is part of the former sedimentation basin of the water supply company, making it an excellent outdoor ecological education venue. Every weekend and holiday, ecological interpretation activities are conducted. Along the wooden walkway, visitors can observe Mallards, Purple Gallinules, Little Egrets, and other wildlife leisurely moving about in the wetland waters.
