Niaosong Wetland Introduction
Niaosong Wetland is located in Niaosong District, Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, covering an area of approximately 3 hectares. It is Taiwan's first educational park themed around artificial wetlands, primarily focusing on natural ecology education with a supplementary emphasis on tourism and recreation. The park has recorded 89 species of birds, over 270 species of insects, and more than 300 species of plants, showcasing rich and diverse ecological resources. It is adjacent to the expansive Chengching Lake and is part of the former sedimentation tank of the water company, making it an excellent outdoor ecological education location. Every weekend and holiday, there are ecological explanation activities. Along the wooden walkways, visitors can observe ducks, moorhens, and little egrets wandering in the wetland waters.
