Niaosong Wetland Introduction
Niaosong Wetland is located in Niaosong District, Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, covering an area of approximately 3 hectares. It is Taiwan's first educational park themed around artificial wetlands, primarily focusing on natural ecology education, with tourism and recreation as supplementary aspects. The wetland is home to 89 bird species, over 270 insect species, and more than 300 plant species, boasting rich and diverse ecological resources. The area is adjacent to the expansive Chengqing Lake and is part of the former sedimentation pond of the water company, making it an excellent outdoor ecological education location. Every weekend and holiday, ecological interpretation activities are held, and along the wooden walkway, visitors can observe Mallards, Purple Swamphens, Little Egrets, and more, leisurely moving through the wetland waters.
