Fuyuan Forest Recreation Area Introduction
Fuyuan Forest Recreation Area features multiple forest trails, suspension bridges, waterfalls, and the well-known Butterfly Valley, which is famous for butterfly watching and hot springs. The best time to observe butterflies in Butterfly Valley is from March to August, when visitors can see various species fluttering, including the Common Greenbottle, Red-base Jezebel, and the Common Eye Spot. From March to June, the Black-winged Firefly can be admired, while from October to December, the Taiwan Mountain Window Firefly can be seen. It is always awe-inspiring to see the twinkling glow of fireflies dancing in the grass and forest as night falls.
