Hsingchuan Aqueduct Flowering Tree Introduction
Whenever the flowering season of the Golden Trumpet Tree arrives, people flock to various locations in pursuit of the blooming flowers. One popular spot to appreciate the Golden Trumpet Tree is the Hsing Chuan Canal, located at the intersection of Guangfu and Ruisui. The nearly 300-meter-long flower path, adorned with golden flowers in March, beautifully contrasts with the distant green mountains. The shimmering reflections of the brilliant yellow flowers on the flowing water of the canal create a picturesque scene that resembles a painting, making it a trending spot for Instagram and Facebook check-ins. The Hsing Chuan Canal, which comes from the Fuyuan Butterfly Valley, was established during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty and has a long history of over a century. Later, it was taken over by Taiwan Sugar Corporation, which planted trumpet trees along both sides of the canal. Every March, when the flowers bloom, this area transforms into a golden river, with the yellow blossoms reflected in the adjacent rice paddies, attracting numerous visitors to enjoy the flowers and bask in the beautiful scenery. Important reminder: Since the site is near a school, please do not park randomly or near the school (e.g., Fuyuan Junior High School), and help maintain smooth traffic flow! As the area around the canal is surrounded by farmland and jungles, be cautious while walking along the ridges; slipping can occur, so it’s recommended to wear non-slip shoes or waterproof shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty, which can be cleaned afterward. In addition to being careful not to fall into the canal, please ensure that no litter falls to the ground to maintain a clean environment.
