Xingquan Canal Wind Chimes Tree Introduction
Every time the flowering season of the Tabebuia aurea arrives, people from various places come in droves to admire the flowers. The Xingquan Channel, located at the junction of Guangfu and Rueisuei, is a popular spot for viewing Tabebuia aurea. The nearly 300-meter-long flower corridor blooms with golden yellow flowers in March, contrasting beautifully with the distant green mountains. The shimmering reflections in the gently flowing water of the channel create a scene as stunning as an oil painting, making it a new hotspot for Instagram and Facebook check-ins. The Xingquan Channel, sourced from the Fuyuan Butterfly Valley, was built during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty and has a long history of over a century. Subsequently, Taiwan Sugar Corporation took over and planted Tabebuia aurea along both sides of the channel. Each March, when the flowers bloom, a golden river of blossoms forms here, with the yellow flowers reflecting in the nearby rice paddies, attracting many tourists to appreciate the flowers and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Important reminder: due to the proximity of the school, please do not park vehicles randomly or near the school (such as Fuyuan Junior High School), and help maintain smooth traffic! As the area around the channel consists of farmland and jungles, visitors should walk on the ridges of the fields while flower viewing; a slip can occur, so it is advisable to wear non-slip shoes or waterproof shoes that are not afraid of getting dirty, which can be rinsed off after the visit. In addition to avoiding falling into the channel, please do not litter to maintain environmental cleanliness.
