Knock Knock Wood Workshop Introduction
Originating in 1969, the early timber industry in Puli led to the establishment of over 450 woodworking factories, from which "Haisan Craft Workshop" was born under the stewardship of the Shi brothers. The workshop produced a large quantity of Christmas decorations, such as Christmas pyramids and cedar wood dolls for export, but it is particularly noteworthy as one of the few woodworking factories that produces "nutcrackers" and "music boxes." In 2012, Haisan transformed into a woodworking studio where visitors can experience making music boxes, inheriting the past manufacturing expertise of woodworking. Transitioning from traditional OEM production, it evolved into a self-branded design, production, and marketing entity. The workshop utilizes its unused space to promote the historical woodcraft culture of Puli and to highlight the value of past craftsmen. One of the new generation's business directions is to refine and customize what was once considered DIY products, turning them into exquisite, personalized gifts for the significant people in one's life, expressing an irreplaceable sentiment that transforms simple materials into beautiful aspects of life. It is hoped that visitors will enjoy the wooden products and that they will evoke cherished memories during important holidays, making the effort worthwhile!
