Bagua Tribe Introduction
In the village of Penglai in Nanzhuang Township, Miaoli, there is a Saisiyat tribe settlement called Bagualin Tribal Village. It is now a culturally themed accommodation resort named "Gagauo'an Cultural Village." This area consists of eight mountains, and the name Bagualin is derived from the Japanese pronunciation of these eight mountains. The Saisiyat people refer to this place as "Gagauo'an," meaning the land where the red pine grows. Here, visitors can experience traditional indigenous buildings, farming practices, and culinary lifestyles, allowing for an authentic encounter with Saisiyat culture. The village is nestled among the mountains, surrounded by many beautiful natural landscapes.
