Dahan Village Introduction
Tamayo'an, now known as Dawan, is a settlement also called Nanshan, located about 1.4 kilometers south of the Hongmaoguan in Penglai Village, at an elevation of approximately 750 meters. The name comes from the marshy area in the mountains and is inhabited by the Seediq tribe, currently belonging to neighborhoods 13 and 14 of Penglai Village. About 60 years ago, Tamayo'an was divided into two parts; the area now known as neighborhood 13 was previously called Hiyoma'an, though it's unclear whether this is related to the establishment of the shrine. The Dawan settlement primarily focuses on agricultural development, with recent years seeing the production of highland vegetables, flowers, and alpine aquaculture.
