Shouzhenceng Temple Introduction
Shouzheng Temple, renovated in 1969, is the largest temple in the park and serves as a center of faith for the local community. The temple enshrines Xuantian Shangdi, Fude Zhengshen, and Zhusheng Niangniang. In the past, there was a legend that each year, a week before the third day of the third lunar month, several "hemp moths" would come to worship, landing on the statue, and remain without eating or flying for about a week before leaving. This "divine moth" phenomenon was later reported and caused quite a stir, but it was determined to be the "Pseudoclanis aereola," likely attracted by the temple lights, coinciding with the moths' breeding season. These combined factors created the miraculous "divine moth" event, adding another legend to Shouzheng Temple.
