Swarek Tribal Village Introduction
The name of the Swasiq Tribe comes from the Atayal language "Swasiq," which means a place abundant in nightshades (a type of wild vegetable). Because it is situated at the foot of Longshan Mountain, the name "Longshan Tribe" is also widely used. The famous entrance to the Henglong Ancient Trail is located just above the Swasiq Tribe. Friends visiting the Tai'an Ancient Trail and hot springs may want to take some time to explore this tribe. In the Swasiq Tribe, apart from the Longshan Police Station and the Swasiq Church, most structures are residential buildings. Although they are modern concrete constructions, the local residents have painted traditional indigenous murals on the surrounding walls to recreate the atmosphere of an Atayal tribe, showcasing traditional lifestyles and local agricultural products. The tribe also features the unique Atayal stilt houses, where traditional cultural artifacts and craft studios can be found hidden in the alleys, making it suitable for leisurely strolls to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing time.
