Qinghai Temple Introduction

Located a hundred feet from the sea, the Houlong Qinghai Temple is nestled between mountains and the ocean. The statue of Mazu here is the tallest in Taiwan, reaching a height of 32.2 meters. With the blue sea and sky complemented by green mountain scenery, the occasional sound of trains along the coastal line passing by gives the impression that Mazu is taking a train on her pilgrimage, adding an element of fun while embodying a sense of peace! Qinghai Temple has a history of 45 years, facing the Taiwan Strait. The area is sparsely populated, and it enshrines the Heavenly Queen as the main deity. Legend has it that the statue arrived on land drifting from the sea, and due to the divine presence, it has attracted a flourishing incense offering.
