Ching Hai Temple Introduction
Haolung Qinghai Temple, located a hundred feet from the sea, is nestled between the mountains and the ocean. The Matsu statue here is the tallest in Taiwan, standing at 32.2 meters. With the blue sea and sky alongside the green mountain scenery, it’s a sight to behold, especially when the coastal trains occasionally pass by, as if the Matsu, protector of the nation and people, is taking a train tour—adding a playful yet peaceful meaning to the scene! Qinghai Temple has a history of 45 years and faces the Taiwan Strait. It is situated in a sparsely populated area and is dedicated to the Heavenly Queen as the main deity. Legend has it that the statue drifted ashore from the sea, and due to the divine presence, it attracts a large number of devotees.
