Qinghai Temple Introduction

Hauliong Qinghai Temple, located a hundred feet from the sea, is nestled between the mountains and the coast. The statue of Mazu here is the tallest in Taiwan, reaching 32.2 meters. With the blue sea and sky complementing the green mountains, it’s not uncommon to see coastal trains passing by, giving the impression of Mazu riding the train on a pilgrimage, which adds both interest and a sense of peace! Qinghai Temple has a history of 45 years and faces the Taiwan Strait. The area is sparsely populated, and the temple primarily worships the Heavenly Holy Mother. According to legend, the statue came ashore after drifting at sea, leading to its significant divine presence and thriving incense offerings.
