Red Hair Well Introduction
"Hongmao Well" is located behind the former Zhongshan Hall of the Changhua Art Museum and is approximately 300 years old. It is one of the few remaining Dutch wells in central Taiwan. During the time when the Dutch occupied Taiwan, many missionaries and soldiers came to fetch water, so the locals referred to this well as "Hongmao Well" or "Fanzi Well."
The well not only provides drinking water for nearby residents, but the spring that flows from it is sweet and pure, making it very suitable for brewing tea. Currently, there is a canopy around the area, and a shrine to the God of Wealth is located next to the well, symbolizing "thinking of the source when drinking water."
