Different Crocodile Eco-Farm Introduction
The Unique Crocodile Ecological Farm is located in Chaozhou Township, Pingtung County. It is the largest and most diverse crocodile ecological farm in the country, housing various species of crocodiles, including saltwater crocodiles, African crocodiles, caimans, Malaysian crocodiles, Papua New Guinea crocodiles, and spectacled caimans, with the population reaching up to a thousand, which is truly eye-opening. In addition to watching different types of crocodiles, visitors can also see a variety of adorable animals such as goats, wild boars, turkeys, alligator snapping turtles, peacocks, and Taiwan turtles. A visit to the Unique Crocodile Ecological Farm guarantees an encounter with a rich animal ecosystem. The owner of the farm initially ran a pig farm. To manage the waste generated by the pigs, he began to study the characteristics of crocodiles as carnivores to resolve the pig waste problem. He even traveled abroad to learn crocodile breeding techniques and thus embarked on the path of crocodile breeding. Crocodiles are animals with high economic value, and they help mitigate the environmental pollution caused by livestock farming. Driven by his affection for crocodiles and advocating for the protection of their habitats while utilizing the value they provide, the owner operates the Unique Crocodile Ecological Farm to raise awareness about wildlife conservation. In addition to the crocodiles and other animals, the farm features several recreational facilities and activities for visitors' enjoyment, including a crocodile ecological exhibition hall, a barbecue area, a play area, garden-style karaoke, crocodile feeding, and interaction with adorable animals. For those interested or brave enough to taste crocodile meat, the farm also offers a special crocodile dish, which is quite a unique experience.
