The Unique Crocodile Ecological Farm is located in Chaozhou Township, Pingtung County, and is the largest and most diverse crocodile ecological farm in the country. The farm houses various species of crocodiles including saltwater crocodiles, African crocodiles, caimans, Malaysian crocodiles, New Guinea crocodiles, and spectacled caimans, with a total number of crocodiles reaching into the thousands, which is truly eye-opening. In addition to a wide variety of crocodiles, visitors can also see adorable animals such as goats, wild boars, turkeys, alligator snapping turtles, peacocks, and Taiwanese turtles. A visit to the Unique Crocodile Ecological Farm guarantees an enriching experience with diverse animal ecology. The owner of the farm initially operated a pig farm and began researching the characteristics of crocodiles as a means to manage waste generated from the pigs. This led him to travel abroad to learn techniques for breeding crocodiles, thus embarking on the path of crocodile cultivation. Crocodiles are high-value animals that also help mitigate environmental pollution caused by livestock farming. With a deep affection for crocodiles and a commitment to advocating for their habitats and utilizing the value they provide, the owner established the Unique Crocodile Ecological Farm to raise awareness about the survival issues facing wildlife. In addition to crocodiles and other animals, the farm features various recreational facilities and activities for visitors, including a crocodile ecological exhibition hall, a barbecue area, a playground, garden-style karaoke, crocodile feeding, and opportunities to interact with cute animals. For those interested or courageous enough to taste crocodile meat, the farm also offers unique crocodile dishes, which provide a rather distinctive culinary experience.
