Different Crocodile Ecological Farm Introduction
Different Crocodile Ecological Farm is located in Chaozhou Township, Pingtung County. It is the largest and most diverse crocodile ecological farm in the country, housing a variety of crocodiles including saltwater crocodiles, African crocodiles, caimans, Malaysian crocodiles, New Guinea crocodiles, and spectacled caimans, with a total population of over a thousand crocodiles, providing a truly eye-opening experience. In addition to observing various types of crocodiles, visitors can also find adorable animals such as goats, wild boars, turkeys, alligator snapping turtles, peacocks, and Formosan turtles, ensuring that a visit to Different Crocodile Ecological Farm offers a chance to learn about a rich animal ecology. The owner of Different Crocodile Ecological Farm initially ran a pig farm, and to deal with the waste generated by the pigs, they began researching the carnivorous nature of crocodiles to solve the pig waste issue. They even traveled abroad to learn crocodile farming techniques, which eventually led them to embark on the path of crocodile breeding. Crocodiles, being high-value animals, also significantly help in reducing environmental pollution caused by livestock farming. Driven by a passion for crocodiles and advocating for the conservation of their habitats and the sustainable use of the resources they provide, the farm owner established Different Crocodile Ecological Farm to raise awareness about the survival issues facing wildlife. The highlights of visiting the farm, apart from the crocodiles and other animals, include various recreational facilities and activities for tourists to enjoy or participate in, such as the crocodile ecological exhibition hall, barbecue area, game area, garden-style karaoke, crocodile feeding, and playing with lovely animals. For those interested or brave enough to taste crocodile meat, the farm also offers distinctive crocodile cuisine, providing quite a unique experience.
