Chaozhou City Farmers' Garden Introduction
The Chaozhou Citizen Farm is located in Silin Village, Chaozhou Township, covering an area of approximately 1.89 hectares. The park is designed with areas for vegetable and flower cultivation, fruit tree cultivation, organic cultivation demonstration, a kiln area, a barbecue area, a children's play area, and fish ponds. In the vegetable and fruit tree cultivation areas, crops such as corn, sweet potatoes, strawberries, longan, and tomatoes are planted, which visitors can pick and eat on-site. Additionally, the Chaozhou Citizen Farm offers land rental services, allowing those who love farm life or want to experience the joy of farming to understand the hard work and emotions involved in plowing, sowing, and harvesting. Urban dwellers living under the pressure of a fast-paced lifestyle often seek ways to relax completely during their time off. Some choose to ride bicycles, others want to sing loudly, some take up hiking, while others indulge in hearty meals. Becoming a weekend farmer, however, has become a popular recreational choice, allowing people to stand on the natural soil, loosen compressed earth with their hands, and plant seeds one by one. When it’s time to harvest, they can enjoy the fruits of their labor. The rented farmland at Chaozhou Citizen Farm consists of 160 plots, each covering about 20 pings. Once rented, tenants can freely choose the vegetables, flowers, or fruit trees they want to plant, and care for their crops in the healthiest way following the organic cultivation methods suggested by the farm owner. It is believed that throughout the farming process, nature will release the pressure accumulated in your heart, leaving no trace behind.
