Chaozhou Citizen's Farm Introduction
Chaozhou Community Farm is located in Silin Village, Chaozhou Township, covering an area of approximately 1.89 hectares. The farm features designated areas for vegetable and flower cultivation, fruit tree cultivation, an organic farming demonstration area, a clay kiln area, a barbecue area, a children's play area, and a fish pond. In the vegetable and fruit tree cultivation areas, visitors can find crops such as corn, sweet potatoes, strawberries, longan, and tomatoes available for fresh picking. Additionally, Chaozhou Community Farm offers land rental services, allowing those who love farm life or wish to experience the joys of farming to partake in the labor and joy of planting, sowing, and harvesting. Urban dwellers, living under constant pressure and fast-paced lifestyles, often seek a way to relax completely during their time off. Some choose to bike, some prefer singing loudly, others become hikers, and some indulge in a hearty meal. However, becoming a weekend farmer has emerged as a popular leisure activity. Feeling the natural soil underfoot, loosening the compacted earth with their hands, and planting seeds one by one, visitors can anticipate the joy of harvesting their own produce. Chaozhou Community Farm has a total of 160 rental plots, each approximately 20 pings (around 66 square meters). Once rented, the tenant can freely choose the vegetables, flowers, or fruit trees they wish to plant, following the organic farming methods recommended by the farm's owner. This allows them to care for their crops in the healthiest way possible. Throughout the entire farming process, nature will help release the pressures that have been accumulating in their hearts.
