Chaozhou City Agricultural Park Introduction
Chaozhou Citizens’ Farm is located in Silin Village, Chaozhou Township, covering an area of approximately 1.89 hectares. It includes designated areas for vegetable and flower cultivation, fruit tree cultivation, an organic cultivation demonstration zone, a pottery area, a barbecue area, a children's play area, and a fish pond. In the vegetable and fruit tree cultivation zones, corn, sweet potatoes, strawberries, longan, and tomatoes are grown, allowing visitors to harvest and enjoy them on-site. Additionally, Chaozhou Citizens’ Farm offers land rental services, enabling those who love farm life or wish to experience the joy of farming to understand the hard work and emotion involved in tilling, sowing, and harvesting. Urban dwellers, who live under tight schedules and heavy pressure, often hope to find a completely relaxing way to unwind during their time off. Some choose cycling for fun, others want to sing their hearts out, some become hikers, and some indulge in a hearty meal. However, becoming a weekend farmer is a modern and popular leisure activity, allowing one to step onto the natural soil, use hands to loosen the compacted earth, and plant seeds one by one. When it's time to harvest, they can enjoy the fruits of their labor. The farm has a total of 160 rental plots, each covering approximately 20 ping. Renters can freely choose the vegetables, flowers, or fruit trees they wish to plant, and follow the organic cultivation methods suggested by the farm’s owner to care for their produce in the healthiest way. It's believed that throughout the farming process, the stresses accumulated in the heart will be released without a trace by nature.
