Chaozhou Citizen Farm Introduction
Chaozhou Citizen's Farm is located in Silin Village, Chaozhou Township, covering an area of approximately 1.89 hectares. The farm is divided into vegetable and flower cultivation areas, fruit tree cultivation areas, organic cultivation demonstration areas, earthen kiln areas, barbecue areas, children's play areas, and fish ponds. In the vegetable and fruit tree cultivation areas, corn, sweet potatoes, strawberries, longan, and tomatoes are grown, allowing visitors to pick and eat directly on-site. Additionally, Chaozhou Citizen's Farm offers land rental services, enabling those who love farm life or want to experience the joys of farming to understand the hard work and emotional rewards of tilling, sowing, and harvesting. Urban residents, who live under intense pressure and a fast pace of life, often seek a way to completely relax during their vacations. Some choose cycling for fun, some want to sing loudly, some take up hiking, while others indulge in a hearty meal. However, becoming a weekend farmer is the latest trend in leisure activities, allowing people to step on the natural soil, loosen the compacted earth with their hands, and plant seeds into the soil one by one. When it comes time to harvest, they can enjoy the fruits of their labor. There are a total of 160 rental plots available at Chaozhou Citizen's Farm, with each plot covering about 20 ping. Once rented, tenants can freely choose the vegetables, flowers, or fruit trees they wish to plant, following the organic cultivation methods recommended by the farm owner to care for their produce in the healthiest way. Throughout the farming process, nature helps release the pressures accumulated in one's heart.
