Fangliao Fishing Port Introduction

In the past, approaching Fangliao Fishing Harbor would reveal bamboo rafts densely docked, specifically used for transporting catches. These bamboo rafts, gently swaying with the water waves, resemble a joyful song, waiting for their next task. However, with the rise of offshore fishing, advancements in fishing techniques and transportation equipment have led to the continuous expansion of Fangliao Fishing Harbor to its present scale. In 1996, it was upgraded to a second-class fishing port, though this has not diminished the harbor's simple and tranquil atmosphere. The aquaculture techniques in Fangliao are quite advanced, divided into saltwater fish farms for breeding groupers, sea bream, and grass shrimp, as well as freshwater fish farms primarily for breeding giant river prawns, eels, and tilapia, covering a total area of 650 hectares. The cultivated high-economic-value fish species amount to twenty or thirty types. The cage net farming used in Fangliao, while a high-cost fishing technique, has the least environmental impact. Most importantly, the seafood products provided are not only fresh and delicious but also reasonably priced. On the fishing village street, alongside the numerous seafood restaurants offering various seafood dishes, you can easily find snacks with different flavors such as fried anchovies, anchovy soup, and anchovy porridge, as Fangliao Fishing Harbor is one of the production areas for anchovies. To taste the freshest anchovies, heading north leads to Toucheng, while heading south brings you to Fangliao. If you're looking to purchase seafood, the Fangliao Fishermen's Association also operates a fresh catch supermarket, where fishermen sell a variety of fresh and reasonably priced seafood directly. As dusk approaches and you head towards the pier, various fishing boats already fill the harbor. Occasionally, you can see anglers sitting on the dock or breakwater, enjoying the thrill of sea fishing. Walking along the coastal observation path towards the end of the breakwater, the sunset casts a long shadow, reflecting on the waves, fishing boats, pathways, and anglers, creating a beautiful and tranquil sunset scene.
