Tianlong Ancient Trail Introduction

The starting point of the Tianlong Ancient Trail is at the Tianlong Suspension Bridge, with a length of approximately 1.1 kilometers. Before the Southern Cross-Island Highway was opened, the Tianlong Ancient Trail was the only access road for the residents of the Lidao and other tribes. Even today, it remains the only alternative access road besides the Southern Cross-Island Highway. The canyon area where the Tianlong Ancient Trail is located harbors the "prototype of Taiwan's forest ecology" with canyon rock vegetation, and along the trail, one can also see the endemic species of Taiwan, the "Tianlong Two-leaved Pine." It is a precious natural ecology-filled ancient trail and is one of the famous hiking paths in the Southern Cross-Island Highway area.
