Tianlong Ancient Trail Introduction

The Tianlong Ancient Trail begins at the Tianlong Suspension Bridge and stretches approximately 1.1 kilometers. Before the Nanheng Highway was opened, the Tianlong Ancient Trail served as the only access road for the residents of tribes such as Lidau. Even today, it remains the only alternative access road aside from the Nanheng Highway. The canyon area where the Tianlong Ancient Trail is located harbors a unique ecosystem of canyon rock vegetation that represents the "prototype of Taiwan's mountain forests." Along the trail, one can also see the native species of Taiwan, the Tianlong two-needle pine. This ancient trail is rich in precious natural ecology and is one of the famous hiking paths in the Nanheng area.
