Tianlong Ancient Trail Introduction

The Tianlong Ancient Trail starts at the Tianlong Suspension Bridge and is approximately 1.1 kilometers long. Before the South Cross-Island Highway was opened, the Tianlong Ancient Trail was the only access road for the residents of tribes such as Lidao, and it is still today the only alternative road besides the South Cross-Island Highway. The gorge area where the Tianlong Ancient Trail is located harbors the canyon rock vegetation ecology of the "Taiwan Forest Prototype." Along the way, one can also see the endemic species of Taiwan, the "Tianlong Two-leaf Pine." It is an ancient trail filled with precious natural ecology and is one of the famous hiking paths in the South Cross-Island area.
