Fengshan Anti-Japanese Monument Introduction
The Fengsaka Anti-Japanese Memorial is dedicated to commemorating the Bunun people's resistance against Japanese colonial rule in Taiwan in 1933. It is a stone pillar approximately 1.5 meters tall, and along with the Ramada Star Memorial Park and the Chulai Anti-Japanese Memorial, it is one of the three major sites in Hualien County that document the Bunun resistance to Japanese colonial rule. Near the Fengsaka Anti-Japanese Memorial is the South Cross Forest, lush and green, with layers of mountains and a 9-kilometer-long New Wulu Creek Gorge, which has an S-shaped cross-section. The mountain range forms a great cliff here, creating a breathtaking and steep landscape with a spectacular gorge view. The Tianlong Suspension Bridge spans the Wulu River, resembling a rainbow amid the green mountains and valleys. It is an unforgettable scenic spot known as the first beauty of the South Cross and a great place for outdoor activities.
