Fengping Anti-Japanese Monument Introduction
The Fengsaka Anti-Japanese Monument is built to commemorate the Bunun people's resistance against the oppressive rule of the Japanese colonial government in Taiwan in 1933. The monument stands about 1.5 meters tall and is considered one of the three major attractions in Hualien County that record the Bunun people's resistance to Japanese colonial rule, alongside the Lamadale Star Memorial Park and the Chulai Anti-Japanese Monument. The nearby Nanheng Forest is lush and vibrant, with layers of green. The Xinwulu River Canyon, stretching 9 kilometers between Lidao and Lululu, has an S-shaped cross-section, where the mountain ranges form a towering cliff that is awe-inspiring and perilous. The canyon view is spectacular, and the Tianlong Suspension Bridge spans the Wulu River, resembling a rainbow amid the green mountains and valleys. It is an unforgettable scene and a great place for outdoor activities.
