Seaside Park Introduction
Taitung Seaside Park is located on the eastern side of Taitung City, adjacent to the vast Pacific Ocean, stretching approximately one kilometer from north to south. It is a recreational area that combines natural beauty. The park features expansive lawns connected to the beach, making it suitable for hosting various large-scale events, allowing visitors to fully enjoy the relaxed atmosphere by the sea. The park is also part of the Taitung City Cycling Path, known as the "Mountain-Sea Bicycle Path," where visitors can rent bicycles to ride along the coastline and admire the beautiful sea views. The most famous landmark in the park is the "International Landmark" on the northern side. The International Landmark was damaged by a typhoon but was renovated and reopened in February 2025, with plans for a limited-time nighttime light exhibition that transforms the landmark into a venue for light and shadow art. Surrounding the park's lawns, there are also other public art installations. Additionally, there are several attractions worth visiting around Seaside Park, including the Taitung Hot Spring Sports Park, which utilizes natural hot springs and serves as a safe place for water activities in the summer. Walking north from Seaside Park across the Green Water Bridge leads to Taitung Forest Park (entry fee required), where visitors can enjoy a different kind of natural scenery.
