Coastal Park Introduction
Taitung Seaside Park is located on the eastern side of Taitung City, adjacent to the vast Pacific Ocean, stretching about one kilometer from north to south. It is a recreational area that combines natural beauty. The park features spacious lawns connected to the beach, making it suitable for hosting various large-scale events, allowing visitors to fully enjoy the leisurely seaside atmosphere. The park is also part of the Taitung Circular Bicycle Path "Mountain-Sea Bike Trail," where visitors can rent bicycles to ride along the coastline and enjoy the beautiful sea views. The most famous landmark in the park is the "International Landmark" on the northern side. The International Landmark was damaged by a typhoon but was renovated and reopened in February 2025, with a planned limited-time nighttime light exhibition transforming the landmark into a venue for light and shadow art. The lawns surrounding the park also feature other public art installations. There are several other attractions worth visiting around Taitung Seaside Park, including the Taitung City Hot Spring Sports Park, which is a great place for safe water activities in the summer, utilizing natural hot springs. To the north of the seaside park, across the Green Water Bridge, visitors can enter the Taitung Forest Park (entrance fee required) to enjoy a different type of natural scenery.
