Seaside Park Introduction
Taitung Seaside Park is located on the eastern side of Taitung City, adjacent to the vast Pacific Ocean, stretching about one kilometer from north to south. It is a recreational area that combines natural beauty. The park features broad lawns that connect to the beach, making it suitable for hosting various large events, allowing visitors to fully enjoy the leisurely seaside atmosphere. The park is also part of the Taitung City Cycling Path "Shan Hai Iron Horse Path," where visitors can rent bicycles to ride along the coastline and admire beautiful sea views. The most famous landmark in the park is the "International Landmark" located on the north side. The International Landmark was damaged by a typhoon and has been renovated, reopening in February 2025, with a planned limited-time night lighting exhibition that transforms the International Landmark into a space for light and shadow art. Surrounding the park's lawns are other public art pieces. There are also several attractions worth visiting near the seaside park, including Taitung City Hot Spring Sports Park, which makes use of natural hot springs, providing a safe place for summer water activities. Heading north from Seaside Park and crossing the Lushui Bridge, visitors can enter the Taitung Forest Park area (entrance fee required) to enjoy a different kind of natural scenery.
