National Taitung Living Arts Museum Introduction
The National Taitung Living Arts Center is located across from the Taitung County Government. The current site was once the Wude Hall of Taitung during Japanese rule. After its demolition in 1980, it was rebuilt into a modern structure and has since become a cultural hub in Taitung that promotes aesthetic education and fosters an artistic environment. Strolling through the brightly lit venue, visitors can see the personal works of local artists or themed group exhibitions. From paintings to sculptures, and from multimedia creations to mixed media works, these pieces allow viewers to experience the artists' passion for art from their perspective. Occasionally, artisans set up in the exhibition area to engage visitors in hands-on activities such as making glass beads, rush weaving, indigo dyeing, and more, bridging art with everyday life and igniting creativity. After nightfall, the National Taitung Living Arts Center takes on a romantic ambiance. The "Cultural Broadway" space periodically hosts nighttime events featuring local bands and amateur singers, presenting live performances. The spontaneous and delightful music attracts crowds, creating a relaxed and wonderful atmosphere to spend the evening.
