Taitung Transfer Station Introduction
The old train station in Taitung City has undergone several changes since its closure. The original platform has been transformed into the starting point of the Taitung Mountain and Sea Bike Path and an art village along the railway, providing a place for visitors and locals to stroll leisurely. The former waiting room has been renovated into a tourism service center, offering sightseeing consultation services for domestic and international travelers, information on scenic areas, presentations or multimedia displays, interpretive services, emergency notifications, and other related inquiries, making it the primary and essential contact point for travelers. In light of the disorganization of bus information and varying departure locations in Taitung, the Taitung County Government, in collaboration with the I+T International Charm Hub Project, has converted the original station into the Taitung Transfer Station and tourism service center, integrating the concepts of I (Information) and T (Transport). This unifies the departure points for various buses and provides travel consultation, boarding, and ticket information to facilitate convenience for tourists and locals.
