Tiehua Music Village Introduction
The Taitung Old Train Station, located in the center of Taitung City, passed its baton to the new station in 2001, shedding its original role as a transportation hub. With the joint efforts of the county government and local communities, the area around the old station successfully transformed into the Tiehua Village, becoming a cultural and trend center in Taitung. Strolling through the Tiehua Village adorned with colorful hot air balloons at night has become one of the must-do activities for visitors to Taitung. The Tiehua Village includes the TTstyle Original Pavilion, the Railway Art Village, the Showtime Cinema, the Taitung Transfer Station, and a marketplace. Various cultural and artistic events are held periodically, filling Taitung with rich joy and a creative atmosphere! The Tiehua Village also features exciting music performances and creative workshops, as well as specialty food markets, serving as a space for creative talents to freely express themselves, effectively becoming Taitung's music hub. The TTstyle Original Pavilion, also known as the Wave House, draws its design concept from the imagery of Taitung's mountains and sea, with dynamic curves resembling the movement of ocean waves and the grandeur of layered peaks; the totem design of the Grace Pillar below records the lifestyle and culture of indigenous ancestors. The entire structure of the Pavilion is built from shipping containers and reinforced steel, attracting over a dozen indigenous handmade shops and specialty dining options, making it a new hub for creativity in Taitung. In recent years, the county government has actively collaborated with the Taiwan Railway Administration, private teams, and local businesses to promote the Tiehua Village as an international tourism attraction. Here, visitors can experience the authentic flavors of Taitung, enjoy comprehensive travel services, and indulge in a leisurely lifestyle, unique architecture, artistic creations, and historical culture, along with the charm of railways. When visiting Taitung, don’t forget to come and enjoy this unique experience in person!
