Tiehua Cultural and Creative Park Introduction
The Taitung Old Railway Station, located in the center of Taitung City, handed over its role as a transportation hub to the new station in 2001. Following collaborative efforts between the county government and local communities, the area around the old station successfully transformed into a new cultural hub known as Taitung Creative Park, becoming a center for arts and trends in Taitung. A stroll through the Taitung Creative Park in the evening, adorned with colorful hot air balloons, has become one of the must-do activities in Taitung today. The Taitung Creative Park includes the TTstyle Original Pavilion, Railway Art Village, Showtime Cinemas, Taitung Transit Station, and various markets. It regularly hosts various cultural and artistic events, filling Taitung with rich fun and a creative atmosphere! The Taitung Creative Park features periodic exciting music performances, craft markets, and unique food markets, providing a space for creative talents to showcase their work. It has become a hub for music in Taitung. The TTstyle Original Pavilion, also known as the Wave House, features a design concept inspired by the imagery of Taitung's mountains and sea. The bold, extending curves resemble the undulation of ocean waves and the towering peaks of layered mountains. The totemic design of the Grace Pillars below records the lifestyle and culture of indigenous ancestors. The overall structure of the pavilion is made from shipping containers and reinforced steel, attracting more than ten stores selling original indigenous handmade products and unique cuisines, establishing a new creative area in Taitung. In recent years, the county government has been actively collaborating with the Taiwan Railways Administration and private teams, as well as local businesses, to promote the Taitung Creative Park as an international tourism hotspot. Visitors can experience the authentic charm of Taitung, enjoy comprehensive travel services, and savor a leisurely lifestyle, unique architecture, creative arts, and historical culture, all while appreciating the railway landscape. When visiting Taitung, be sure to come and enjoy this unique experience in person!
