After joint efforts by the county government and the local community, the area around the old station successfully transformed into the Tiehua Village, becoming a cultural and trendy hotspot in Taitung. Strolling through the Tiehua Village at night, adorned with colorful hot air balloons, has become one of the must-see activities for visitors to Taitung. The Tiehua Village includes the TTstyle Original Gallery, the Railway Art Village, the Show Town Cinema, the Taitung Transfer Station, and various markets. Various cultural and artistic events are held regularly, filling Taitung with rich fun and creative vibes! There are regular exciting music performances and creative workshops within the Tiehua Village, making it a space for creative talents to freely showcase their work, and it has become a hub for music in Taitung. The TTstyle Original Gallery, also known as the Wave House, features a design concept inspired by Taitung's mountains and sea, with bold curves resembling the movement of waves and the majesty of overlapping peaks; the columns below symbolize a totem that records the lifestyle and culture of the indigenous ancestors. The overall structure of the gallery is built from containers and rebar, attracting more than ten shops selling indigenous handmade original products and unique dining options, creating a new hub for originality in Taitung. In recent years, the county government has actively collaborated with the Taiwan Railways Administration, private teams, and local businesses to promote the Tiehua Village as a captivating international tourism destination.
