Tiehua Music Village Introduction
The Taitung Old Railway Station, located in the center of Taitung City, handed over its transportation hub role to the new station in 2001. After efforts from the county government and local residents, the area around the old station successfully transformed into the Tiehua Village, which has become a cultural and trendy center in Taitung. Strolling through Tiehua Village at night, adorned with colorful hot air balloons, is now a must-do activity for visitors to Taitung. Tiehua Village encompasses the TTstyle Original Pavilion, Railway Art Village, Showtime Cinemas, Taitung Transfer Station, and a market. Various cultural and artistic events are held regularly, filling Taitung with rich enjoyment and creative atmosphere! Tiehua Village also features periodic exciting music performances and markets for creative handicrafts and specialty foods, making it a space for creatives to express themselves freely, becoming a hub of music in Taitung. The TTstyle Original Pavilion, also known as the Wave House, is designed with the concept of waves reflecting the imagery of Taitung's mountains and sea, featuring grand, stretching curves reminiscent of rolling waves and towering mountain peaks. The design of the "Pillar of Grace" below records the living attitudes and culture of indigenous ancestors. The pavilion's overall structure is made from containers and reinforced steel, attracting more than ten shops selling indigenous handmade original products and unique dining options, forming a new settlement for creations in Taitung. In recent years, the county government has actively collaborated with the Taiwan Railways Administration, private teams, and local businesses to promote Tiehua Village as an international tourism attraction.
