Badawan Bay Introduction
Lanyu Island, located in the Pacific Ocean, is surrounded by sea on all sides. The beautifully designed and vividly colored fishing boats of the Tao people (Yami people) are docked on the beach of Bay of Eight Generations, creating a picturesque scene that is one of Lanyu's most representative landscapes. Especially during sunset, with the boats quietly lying on the beach, they become a favorite spot for tourists and photographers. The Bay of Eight Generations features the longest beach on the western side of Lanyu, stretching approximately 1,500 meters from the fishing village by the sea to Hongtou Village. The Hongtou River in Lanyu flows into the Pacific Ocean at the Bay of Eight Generations, resulting in a rich fishing yield and a variety of coral species, which serve as the main economic source for the residents of Hongtou Village. The Bay of Eight Generations is also an excellent snorkeling spot for observing the underwater ecological world. More travel tips for Lanyu.
