Warship Rock Introduction

Due to its appearance resembling a battleship, it is said that during World War II, when the U.S. and Japanese forces clashed at Lanyu, U.S. aircraft mistakenly identified the battleship rock as a naval vessel and bombarded it. This incident is still vividly remembered by the elders of the Dongqing tribe. The island, with its strong ocean currents and hidden waves, creates a rich ecosystem, making it a traditional fishing ground for the Dongqing tribe due to the abundant and diverse fish species in the area. The unique shape of the Battleship Rock attracts photography enthusiasts who come to capture its breathtaking beauty, leaving a magnificent display of the Battleship Rock.
