Cingjing Grassland Introduction
The Green Grassland has different charms in each season. During spring, the plains are adorned with blooming wild lilies and mountain daisies, creating a breathtaking expanse of yellow and white flowers on the lush green land. Between spring and summer, the grasslands flourish with greenery, making it an ideal place to enjoy nature while strolling through it. In autumn and winter, the grasslands turn a golden hue under the influence of the northeast monsoon, displaying yet another kind of beautiful scenery. Each season offers its own unique experience. To reach this area, be sure to pay attention to the small entrance and landmark signs located beside the island circuit road. It takes about 10 minutes to walk from the entrance to the end of the grassland. The path is lined with tall miscanthus grass, gradually transitioning to lower grasslands as you approach the end, where you can finally see the vast expanse of the grassland. The wide open grassland has little shade, so if you visit during the day, be sure to take sun protection and hydrate! If you want to avoid the scorching sun, the sunsets and starry skies at the Green Grassland are just right for you. The orange-red sunset will cast a fiery glow across the grassland, and the magical colors of the sky at that moment are unforgettable, reflecting the distant coastline or Little Orchid Island, creating a picturesque scene like an oil painting. The splendid starry sky slowly appears after sunset, and on the less light-polluted Orchid Island, you can even see the Milky Way with the naked eye. If you plan to come during sunset, remember to bring a flashlight to avoid walking in the dark. Additionally, watch out for the famous local animals—goats. They can be seen all over the island and, of course, are present in the green grassland as well. These goats are generally shy and will leave if approached, so it's best not to disturb them.
