Cingjing Farm Introduction
The Green Grassland displays different scenery in each season. During spring, the meadows are filled with wild lilies and mountain daisies, creating a beautiful sea of yellow and white flowers on the green land; in spring and summer, the grassland is lush and offers a great place for leisurely strolls in nature. In autumn and winter, the grassland turns yellow under the influence of the northeast monsoon, presenting a different kind of beauty. Each season brings unique experiences. To get here, be sure to look for the small entrance and landmark sign located next to the island circular highway. It takes about 10 minutes to walk from the entrance to the far end of the grassland. The trail begins with tall miscanthus grass, and as you approach the end, it gradually transitions to shorter grasses, eventually revealing the vast expanse of the grassland. The broad green meadow has little shade, so if you visit during the day, be sure to pay attention to sun protection and hydration! If you want to avoid the midday sun, then the sunset and starry sky at the Green Grassland are perfect for you. The orange-red sunset paints the grassland in fiery colors, creating a magical sky that is unforgettable, reflecting the distant cape or Little Orchid Island, resembling a beautiful oil painting. The brilliant starry sky slowly emerges after sunset; on the light-pollution-free Orchid Island, you can even see the Milky Way with the naked eye. If you plan to come around sunset, remember to bring a flashlight to avoid walking in the dark. Additionally, be aware of the famous animals on Orchid Island - the goats. They are commonly seen around the island and will certainly be present in the grassland. Most of the goats here are timid and will move away if someone approaches, so it’s best not to bother them.
