Cingjing Farm Introduction
The Green Grassland offers different sceneries throughout the four seasons. In spring, the meadows are filled with wild lilies and mountain daisies, creating a stunning landscape of yellow and white flowers on a sea of green. Between spring and summer, the pastures flourish with greenery, making it a great place to stroll and enjoy nature. In autumn and winter, the grassland turns a dry yellow under the influence of the northeast monsoon, presenting a different but equally beautiful scenery. Each season offers unique experiences. To get here, pay attention to the small entrance and sign located next to the round-the-island highway. The walk from the entrance to the end of the grassland takes about 10 minutes. The initial part of the trail is lined with tall silver grass, which gradually transitions to shorter grass as you approach the end, eventually revealing the vast expanse of the grassland. There is little shade in the wide-open fields, so if you visit during the day, be sure to take precautions against sun exposure and stay hydrated! If you want to avoid the scorching sun, the sunset and stargazing at the Green Grassland are perfect for you. The orange-red sunset will paint the meadows in fiery hues, and the magical colors of the sky are unforgettable, reflecting the distant coastline or Little Orchid Island like a beautiful painting. The brilliant starry sky will slowly appear after sunset, and in the low light pollution of Orchid Island, you can even see the Milky Way with the naked eye. If you plan to arrive before sunset, remember to bring a flashlight to avoid walking in the dark. Also, be aware of the island's famous residents—the goats, which can be seen everywhere on the island, including the lush grassland. Most of these goats are shy and will move away if approached, so it's best not to disturb them.
