Cingjing Farm Introduction
The Cingjing Grassland presents different sceneries throughout the four seasons. In spring, the meadows are filled with wild lilies and mountain daisies, creating a stunning sight of green dotted with yellow and white flowers. Between spring and summer, the grassland flourishes with greenery, making it a great place for leisurely walks in nature. During autumn and winter, the northeastern monsoon transforms the grassland into a golden hue, showcasing a different kind of beauty, with each season offering a unique experience. To reach this place, pay attention to the small entrance and landmark sign located along the circular island highway. It takes about 10 minutes to walk from the entrance to the end of the meadow. The initial part of the pathway is lined with tall swaying grasses, gradually changing to shorter grass as you approach the end, where you can finally see the expansive grassland. The wide-open Cingjing Grassland has little shade, so if you visit during the day, be sure to take precautions against the sun and stay hydrated! If you want to avoid the scorching sunlight, the sunset and starry sky at the grassland are perfect for you. The orange-red sunset paints the grassland in fiery hues, and the colors of the sky during this magical moment are unforgettable, reflecting the distant Cape or Little Orchid Island, creating a picturesque scene akin to a painting. The brilliant stars slowly emerge after sunset; on Little Orchid Island, where light pollution is minimal, you can even see the Milky Way with the naked eye. If you plan to come around sunset, remember to bring a flashlight to avoid walking in the dark. Additionally, be mindful of the famous island inhabitants – the goats. These creatures are often seen around the island, and they are no exception in the grassland, though they tend to be shy and will retreat if approached. It's best not to disturb them.
