Green Green Grasslands Introduction
The Qingqing Grassland has different charms in each season. In spring, the meadow is filled with wild lilies and mountain daisies, creating a beautiful scene of green mixed with yellow and white blooms. Between spring and summer, the grassland flourishes, making it a great place to stroll and immerse in nature. In autumn and winter, the grassland turns a golden brown under the northeast monsoon, presenting another kind of beautiful scenery. Every season offers a different experience. To reach this place, pay attention to the small entrance and landmark sign located by the ring road. It takes about 10 minutes to walk from the entrance to the end of the grassland. The path is lined with tall miscanthus grass at the beginning, gradually transforming into shorter grass further along, leading to the vast expanse of the grassland. The wide-open Qingqing Grassland has little shade, so if you visit during the day, be sure to take precautions against sun exposure and stay hydrated! If you want to avoid the midday sun, the grassland's sunset and starry sky are perfect for you. The orange-red sunset paints the meadow in fiery colors, and the sky transforms into mesmerizing hues, reflecting the distant coastline or Little Orchid Island, creating a picturesque scene akin to a painting. The brilliant starry sky emerges gradually after sunset; in the light-pollution-free Orchid Island, you can even see the Milky Way with the naked eye. If you plan to visit around sunset, remember to bring a flashlight to avoid walking in the dark. Also, keep an eye out for the island's famous residents - the goats. They are commonly seen throughout the island and will definitely be present in the grassland. Most goats here are shy and will flee if approached, so it’s best not to disturb them.
