Malang Station Introduction
The early Malan Station had a wooden station building before the eastern expansion, but during the expansion of the East Line, it was rebuilt into the brick and concrete station building seen today. Malan Station primarily focused on freight services, with the main sources being the CPC oil depot next to the station and the Taitung Sugar Factory. However, with the closure of the sugar factory and CPC switching to road transport, Malan Station eventually faced abandonment. After its closure, the tracks of Malan Station were transformed into a bike path, connecting seamlessly with the old Taitung Station. The platform also became a resting spot for tourists riding bikes. The well-preserved platform and station building have become popular spots for visitors to take photos and create beautiful memories. If you have the chance to visit Taitung City, be sure to include Malan Station in your itinerary, where you can leisurely ride a bicycle and enjoy the scenic railway views along the way.
