Taitung Sugar Factory Introduction
The Taitung Sugar Factory has a history of over a century since its establishment. In 2004, it was registered as a historical building by the Taitung County Government and transformed into the Taitung Sugar Factory Cultural and Creative Park. The park preserves the old railway and train facilities, and the original buildings have been renovated to include a museum, an outdoor stage, public art installations, and more. Local artists and dining establishments have also been invited to set up shop, turning the Taitung Sugar Factory into a multifunctional cultural and artistic performance space that showcases local culture while preserving traditional craftsmanship.
