Xinhua Village Introduction
Xinhua Tribe is a Paiwan indigenous tribe. What sets this tribe apart is its promotion of the cultivation and collection of indigenous medicinal herbs. Through the operation of herb production and marketing classes, a systematic approach to planting and harvesting herbs is developed, with over a hundred types of herbs collected here. The production and marketing classes also research and develop processed herbal products, enhancing the tribe's economic income. The Xinhua mountainous area is home to the rare Taiwan cypress, with the largest number found in Taiwan. By making a prior appointment, visitors can be led by local guides to witness the world's largest Taiwan cypress, ensuring a rewarding experience. In addition to visiting Xinhua Tribe, you can also tour the Kazdas Cultural and Arts Studio, the workshop of the renowned indigenous wood sculptor Lin Hsin-yi. Lin Hsin-yi's works showcase exquisite details carved from solid wood, blending the indigenous spirit's boldness with a unique style. 【Source: Tribe Backpacker, Feng Taitung, Tribe Travel Guide】
