Xinhua Village Introduction
Xinhua Village is a Paiwan indigenous village, notable for its promotion of the cultivation and collection of indigenous medicinal herbs. Through the operation of a medicinal herb production and marketing class, herbs are systematically cultivated and gathered, with over a hundred varieties collected here. The production and marketing class also develops processed herb products to enhance the village's economic income. The area around Xinhua is home to the rare tree species, Taiwan Cypress, which boasts the largest quantity in Taiwan. With a prior reservation, local guides can lead you to witness the world's largest Taiwan Cypress, making your visit truly worthwhile. When in Xinhua Village, you can also visit the Kazidas Cultural and Art Studio, the workshop of the renowned indigenous woodcarving artist Lin Hsin-yi.
