Senong Village Introduction
Since the community began promoting the cultivation of indigenous wild vegetables, it has taken on a new appearance. Young people returning to the community after military service brought new ideas back with them, initially trying small-scale cultivation of indigenous wild vegetables. Through continuous exploration and improvement, they have gradually increased the output value, and now the planting area has reached 0.15 hectares, successfully leading to innovation in the community's industry and providing local employment opportunities. The Senong community established the VUVU kitchen to promote meals featuring indigenous wild vegetables. In the Paiwan language, VUVU generally refers to "grandmother." Visitors to Senong community can listen to guided tours on wild vegetables, learn about various wild vegetables, and even engage in DIY cultivation of wild vegetables, experiencing the hard work of a farmer for a day. Alternatively, they can personally pick wild vegetables, enjoy the pleasures of the countryside, and finally savor wild vegetable dishes at the VUVU kitchen, providing visitors with a complete journey of knowledge about wild vegetables.
