Dawu National Forest Trail Introduction

The smallest trail in Taiwan, Dawu National Forest Trail, is located in Dawu Township, Taitung County. It is a circular trail with minimal elevation changes and a low altitude, making it suitable for families to enjoy leisurely together. The rich and diverse primitive natural ecology found here is the best in national parks, earning it the nickname "Dawu's Backyard Garden." The entrance to the Dawu National Forest Trail is located next to the Forestry Bureau’s Dawu Work Station. By following the wooden stairs upwards, you will reach the starting point of the trail. Surrounded by greenery, you can stroll while listening to the sounds of insects and birds, accompanied by the sound of waves crashing on the beach. With lush trees and varying heights of village cottages in sight, this area offers natural beauty that isn’t accessible in daily life. Along the forest trail, there are informative signs detailing plant species and terrain, as well as pavilions for visitors to rest, enjoy the scenery, or have a pleasant picnic. Climbing higher provides a view of the vast and magnificent Pacific Ocean, expanding your horizon; you may also see the nearby famous attraction "Dawu Rainbow Village." If time allows, you can stop by for some photos and create beautiful memories of your journey.
