Wuyou Cave Introduction
Wuyou Cave is located on the northern coast of Green Island Lighthouse, and it reveals a small pool only during low tide. The nearby area features a rocky coastline, where seawater is trapped by circular rocks, forming a small pool. Contrary to the name "Wuyou Cave," this site not only exhibits the characteristics of an intertidal zone but also resembles a lagoon with calm, wave-free waters that occasionally shimmer with a bluish-green jewel-like luster, making it quite beautiful. Additionally, the beach surrounding this pool is crescent-shaped, and it is also commonly referred to as "Wuyou Cave Half-Moon Pool." The beach consists of unique shell sand from Green Island, and with its pure and flawless sands combined with the tranquil, enchanting colors of the clear water surface, it captivates visitors. Bathed in sunlight, watching the glistening shell sands reflecting golden sparkles, and feeling them gently beneath your feet, it is unlike ordinary beaches as each grain is distinct, producing a soft rustling sound when rubbed together. Coupled with the jewel-like pool, one can fully appreciate the charming ambiance of a southern island paradise here.
