Wuyoukeng Introduction
Wuyou Cave is located on the northern coastline of Green Island Lighthouse and is a small pool that is only revealed at low tide. The area around this attraction features a rocky coastline, where tidal waters are blocked by circular reefs, forming a small pool. Contrary to the imagery suggested by the name "Wuyou Cave," this location not only has intertidal characteristics but also resembles a lagoon with its calm and wave-less waters that occasionally shimmer with a brilliant sapphire-like sheen, making it quite beautiful. Additionally, due to the crescent shape of the beach around the pool, it is sometimes referred to as "Wuyou Cave Half-Moon Pool." The beach is made of unique shell sand from Green Island, and the pure, flawless sand combined with the calm and enchanting colors of the water creates a mesmerizing view. Bathed in sunlight, visitors can watch the glimmering shell sand as it sparkles under the sun, feeling it rub beneath their feet. Unlike typical sandy beaches that feel sticky, the grains of sand are distinct and produce a rustling sound as they move, alongside the gem-like colored small pool, allowing one to fully experience the charm of a tropical island.
