Qixing Lake Scenic Area Introduction

Qixingtan is the only county-level scenic area in Hualien County. At first glance, it seems to be a star-shaped lake, but upon arriving at Qixingtan, one will definitely be captivated by its crescent-shaped bay. Known as Crescent Bay, Qixingtan is a stunning blue gravel beach, with the majestic Central Mountain Range rising at the end of the bay. The picturesque meeting of mountain and sea has enchanted many visitors. Located at the northeastern coastal corner of Xincheng Township, Qixingtan is not only alluring for its curved bay but also for its clean, azure waters where the stones are clearly visible amidst the waves. Originally a tranquil fishing village, it boasts a unique natural geographic environment alongside simple scenic walking paths, seaside pavilions, Sun-Moon Pavilion, and Star Viewing Plaza, allowing visitors to fully immerse themselves in the azure sky and blue ocean. The beach, free from light pollution at night, is the best choice for stargazing, moon-gazing, or simply enjoying the sound of the pebbles and waves.
