Qixingtan Scenic Area Introduction

Qixing Tan is the only county-level scenic area in Hualien County. At first glance, it may seem like a star-shaped lake terrain, but upon arriving at Qixing Tan, one is sure to be mesmerized by its crescent-shaped bay. Also known as Crescent Bay, Qixing Tan is a deep blue gravel beach, with the towering Central Mountain Range at the end of the bay. The picturesque scene where the mountains meet the sea has captivated many. Located at the northeastern corner of Xincheng Township, Qixing Tan not only boasts a captivating curved bay, but its clean and blue waters also allow for clear glimpses of the pebbles amidst the waves. Originally a tranquil fishing village, it has become a popular destination due to its exceptional natural geographical environment, complemented by simple scenic walkways, seaside pavilions, the Sun and Moon Pavilion, and the Star Viewing Square, allowing visitors to fully indulge in the azure sea and blue sky. The beach, free from light pollution at night, is the perfect choice for stargazing, moon watching, or simply listening to the melody of stones and waves.
