Pengpeng Beach (Hualong Beach) Introduction
Pengpeng Beach is located in Baisha Township, Penghu. Just like its lovely name, the beach is not very large and can be walked across in about ten minutes. This is because Pengpeng Beach is still a nascent sandbar, currently growing slowly! The sand at Pengpeng Beach is very beautiful, with sparkling white sand complemented by the glowing blue and clear sea, all under the shining sun, which makes the beach even more dazzling! What's most special is that the beach at Pengpeng Bay winds through the sea, rather than being a typical stretch of sand. Viewed from above, Pengpeng Bay appears like a great white dragon swimming in the ocean, which is why it is also known as "Living Dragon Island"! In fact, Pengpeng Beach is an uninhabited island, so there are limited transportation options available. Visitors must take a boat from the North Sea Tourist Service Center to reach it, which takes about 30 to 40 minutes. On the way to Pengpeng Bay by boat, one can enjoy the beautiful ocean views, listen to the sound of the waves, and experience the thrill of sailing in the wind—definitely worth the price of admission! The sand at Pengpeng Beach is similar to other beaches in the Penghu archipelago, mainly composed of coral fragments. Additionally, there are many seagulls and various birds inhabiting the area near Pengpeng Bay, making it a veritable paradise for birdwatchers! Interestingly, there is currently no dock at Pengpeng Bay, so when the boat arrives, visitors can experience the feeling of landing on the beach directly, which is a very unique and rare experience! [Recommended stay time] 0.5 hours, mostly for cruising through.
