Pengpeng Beach (Hualong Beach) Introduction
Pengpeng Beach is located in the Baisha Township of Penghu. True to its charming name, the beach isn't very large; you can stroll across it in about ten minutes. This is because Pengpeng Beach is still a newly formed sandbar that is gradually growing over time! The sand at Pengpeng Beach is exceptionally beautiful, with sparkling white grains complemented by clear, glowing blue waters. Under the blazing sun, the beach appears even more dazzling! What’s unique about Pengpeng Bay is that the beach meanders through the sea rather than being a typical expanse of sand. When viewed from the sky, Pengpeng Bay resembles a large white dragon swimming through the ocean, which is why it is also referred to as "Living Dragon Island"! In fact, Pengpeng Beach is an uninhabited island, so there are not many ways to reach it; you must take a boat from the North Sea Tourist Service Center, which takes about 30 to 40 minutes. The journey to Pengpeng Bay allows you to enjoy beautiful sea views, listen to the sound of waves, and experience the thrill of sailing against the wind, making it well worth the trip! The beach at Pengpeng is similar to other beaches in the Penghu archipelago, primarily composed of coral fragments. Additionally, many seagulls and various bird species inhabit the area near Pengpeng Bay, making it a birdwatcher's paradise! Interestingly, there is no dock at Pengpeng Bay, so when boats arrive, visitors can experience the thrill of landing on the beach, making for a unique and rare experience! 【Recommended stay time】 0.5 hours, mainly for cruising through the area.
