Wangfu Stone Introduction
Wangfu Rock is a giant coral reef that extends into the sea, located southeast of Qimei Lighthouse on a seashore composed of basalt rocks. Eroded by seawater, it resembles a pregnant woman lying on the surface of the sea, hence the common name Wangfu Rock. There is a poignant legend about Wangfu Rock: on the island, there was a loving couple, and the husband died at sea while fishing. The pregnant wife jumped into the sea, and after many years, a miraculous formation of a rock shaped like a pregnant woman emerged on the shore, giving it its name. Visitors can sit in a pavilion on the shore to overlook the entire view of Wangfu Rock, or walk down the stone bridge into the sea, stepping onto the island of Wangfu Rock to gaze at the southernmost Qimei Lighthouse in Penghu and the magnificent columnar basalt coastline. The intertidal zone near Wangfu Rock has many small water pools, and during low tide, visitors can walk into the pools to see various marine life, such as tropical fish, sea cucumbers, crabs, and more, resembling a small outdoor aquarium. 【Recommended stay time】 0.5 hours
