Wangfu Stone Introduction
Wangfu Rock is a giant reef that extends deep into the sea, located on the basalt rocks of the coastline southeast of Qimei Lighthouse. Due to erosion by seawater, it resembles a pregnant woman lying on the sea surface, hence the popular name "Wangfu Rock." There is a poignant legend associated with it: on the island, there was a loving couple where the husband perished at sea while fishing and never returned. The wife, carrying a heavy pregnancy, threw herself into the ocean. After many years, a miraculous rock shaped like a pregnant woman formed by the seaside, giving it its name. Visitors can sit in the pavilions on the shore to view the entire panorama of Wangfu Rock or walk down the stone bridge into the sea to step onto the island, where they can gaze at the southernmost Qimei Lighthouse and the magnificent columnar basalt coastline of Penghu. The tidal zone next to Wangfu Rock has many small pools, and during low tide, one can walk into the pools to see various marine creatures, such as tropical fish, sea cucumbers, crabs, and more, resembling a small outdoor aquarium. 【Recommended Stay Time】 0.5 hours
